The Police curfew in the Puttalam district and Kochchikade police division will be lifted at 8 am today (19) and will be re-imposed at 2 pm, Police headquarters announced.
It said that the decision has been taken in order to handover nominations for the forthcoming General Election.
The government yesterday imposed Police curfew in the following areas with effect from 4.30 pm.
Puttalam Police Division:-Puttalam, Anamaduwa, Kalpitiya, Karuwalagaswewa, Mundalama, Nawagattegama, Pallama, Vanathavilluwa, Udappuwa, Norachcholai, Saliya Wewa
Chilaw Police Division:-Chilaw, Dankotuwa, Koswatta, Madampe, Marawila, Wennappuwa, Arachchikattuwa
Negombo Police Division:- Kochchikade
