Police curfew in Puttalam district,Kochchikade, Ja-Ela,Wattala lifted for 3 hours

The Police curfew which was imposed in the Puttalam district, Kochchikade police division, Wattala and Ja-Ela areas, has been lifted at 9 am today and will be re-imposed at 12 noon, Police said.

The government imposed Police curfew in Puttalam, Anamaduwa, Kalpitiya, Karuwalagaswewa, Mundalama, Nawagattegama, Pallama, Vanathavilluwa, Udappuwa, Norachcholai, Saliya Wewa police areas in the Puttalam Police Division, Chilaw, Dankotuwa, Koswatta, Madampe, Marawila, Wennappuwa, Arachchikattuwa areas in Chilaw Police Division and Kochchikade in Negombo. Later Police curfew has been imposed in the Wattala and Ja-Ela areas as well.

They said the curfew was imposed in line with the measures which are being taken to prevent the COVID-19 spread.
