Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe’s three day visit to China had helped to revive the unsuccessful projects such as the Magampura Mahinda Rajapaksa Port and the Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport, Housing and Constructions Minister Sajith Premadasa recently said.
Addressing a media briefing, Minister Premadasa said these unsuccessful projects had been constructed using loans at very high interests.
“Those projects were like white elephants, as there was no way to make them profitable. The Prime Ministers’ China visit has helped make these projects successful in order to develop the country’s economy," he said.
“During his visit to China he had has also opened up new employment opportunities for Sri Lankan the youth and in the tourism industry,” he added.

This ministers primary responsibility is to make available building material at resonable price. The prices of river sand cement and steel are unbearable. When P.M. is doing his best in his field minister too should do his best in his field. via DM Android App
