The Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) on the Easter Sunday attacks has directed former president Maithripala Sirisena's private secretary Sameera De Silva to appear in person or be legally represented at the sittings at 2.00 p.m. today.
The Commissioners made this order considering the submissions made on the issuance of a media statement by Mr. De Silva on behalf of former Mr. Sirisena rejecting the evidence given by former defence secretary Hemasiri Fernando.
The Commissioners also ordered Auxiliary Bishops Most Rev. Maxwell Silva, Anton Ranjith and J.D. Anthony Jayakody to appear in person or be legally represented at 2.00 p.m. today based on to the media statement they had issued on behalf of Malcom Cardinal Ranjith rejecting the evidence given by former minister Harin Fernando.
