A total number of 83,430 personnel from the three armed forces and police have been administered with Astra-Zeneca COVISHIELD vaccine against COVID-19, up to date, since the commencement of the vaccination roll out in the country.
The total number of vaccines administered in the country currently stands at 466,861.
Among them, 46,173 from the Army, 10,435 sailors, 7,447 Airmen and 19,375 policemen were vaccinated. In addition, 176,808 vaccines have been given to the health sector staff, including doctors while 186,245 doses were administered to the general public.
A total number of 18,995 doses were administered on those identified as people belong to vulnerable segment.

First country to vaccinate armed forces in such a scale. They must be having stronger immune system compared of elders for this virus. Why do you vaccinate them first?
