A stock of one million doses of the Sinopharm vaccines arrived in Sri Lanka from China this morning.
Accordingly, this was the largest consignment of vaccines brought to Sri Lanka at one time.
On two previous occasions, Sri Lanka received Sinopharm vaccines from the Chinese government as a donation.

Please tell gramasewakas to organise a proper way to call in people for the vaccine. In some areas long queues were seen on extremely narrow busy roads. If people are advised to come in as small category wise things would have been easier.
