One killed, six injured in trishaw accident

A 55-year-old man was killed and six others including two children were injured when the three-wheeler they were travelling in skidded off the road and toppled over at Dickoya in Hatton this morning, Police said.

They said the deceased was identified as KinamsamiRajaratnam from Ketabulawe in Nawalapitiya.

Investigations had revealed that the driver was under the influence of liquor. 

The Hatton Police are investigating. (Ranjith Rajapaksa)

    Three wheels must be banned, simple as that. How can we carry on like this knowing its very unsafe and dangerous.A simple safety feature seat belt not even equipped. More over we putting our children's life's at risk.
