A 60-year-old man was killed and another injured in a head-on collision involving a three-wheeler and the North Central Chief Minister Peshala Jayarathna’s vehicle in Sigiriya last night, Police said.
They said the Chief Minister's vehicle that was heading towards the Alakolawewa had collided with the three-wheeler arrived from Damana.
Police said the driver of the three-wheeler and the 60-year-old passenger were admitted to the Dambulla Hospital and the passenger had succumbed to his injuries after admitted to the hospital.
The driver of the Chief Minister has been arrested.
