A stock of 83,000 litres of suspected chemical toddy was seized by the STF during a raid at Kaluwamodara in Aluthgama, the police said.
They said a 53-year-old suspect, a resident of Kaluwamodara, was also arrested in this regard.
The suspect and the stock of toddy would be handed over to the Excise Department Officers of Aluthgama.
The police said toddy samples would also be sent to the government analyst to examine whether the stock of toddy is natural or artificial.
