The amended draft Bill to set up an Office of Missing Persons (OMP) was passed in Parliament a short while ago without a vote being taken.
The debate on the Bill was scheduled to end tomorrow but with the Bill being passed the debate too was concluded today.

Well done Sri Lanka, we should not leave room in this country for any criminals, murderers and thugs to hide behinds authority and commit humanitarian crimes. After independence, this is the only act that keeps to Buddhist principles that has been passed in parliament.
