State Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardane yesterday rejected media reports that President Maithripala Sirisena had met Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on Thursday to discuss the no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister.

He told a news conference that President’s Media informed him that there had been no discussion on the matter.

The State Minister said such false news was spread by those who are not confident on their own stance on the no-faith motion.(Dayana Udhayanagani)

Can it be that Mr Yapa is unaware of the truth or was not told the truth, with MS an RW having a secret meeting the way MS is said to have had one (or more?) with MR?

Our country has become a laughing stock. Don’t you have any shame? If you are so unhappy with the PM why don’t you resign? In fact, all of you idiots resign, empty the parliament, no UNP, no SLFP. How many Sri Lankans have died and suffered because of your jealousy towards each other over the decades. Our people suffer as housemaids and labourers in the Middle East because you don’t have the talent to develop our country. All of you idiots leave.

Why is this man so worried about the President and the Prime Minister having any discussion. Should we remind him that we voted for both of them to steer this country forward?

Who are you and what are you talking about. President and PM themselves have confirmed the meeting! You are not the General Secretary of the Party so you have no right to make any announcements on behalf of the party. Learn the protocol before you speak.

You are all trying to fool the public. President Office might have been asked to keep silent during this period by the President. Why worry if you are sure to win the NCM wait till the 04th April and see the consequences in the Parliament,

    Sarath Saturday, 31 March 2018 07:57 PM

Why? Is PM meeting with the President prohibited? What a shame. These are the types of idiots who rule our country.
