History of Tamil Legal Eagles Tuesday, 01 December 2020 08:40 PM
Just only one Tamil Name in the long list of new Judges. In the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and up to80s there were scores of top Tamil Lawyers, some of them educated at Oxford, Cambridge, or London were dominating the legal circles in Colombo. And in Jaffna the four Magistrate Courts had frequent spellbinding performances by high quality Jaffna Lawyers. Now , the golden age for Tamil Lawyers and Judges is gone, and this is permanent.

We do not need a legal system, neither a law college. Wasting public money to educate lawyers - a parliament is sufficient for all! Close down all courts and law colleges.
