Navy arrests 10 Indian fishermen poaching in SL waters

The Navy yesterday arrested 10 Indian fishermen along with their fishing trawler while poaching in the Srilankan waters in the seas off Delft Island.

Navy said the arrested fishermen were brought to the Naval Base SLNS Elara and were to be handed over to the Jaffna fisheries authorities for onward legal action.

    Looks the GPS provided to these fishermen by Indian authorities are outdated or Junk as they are not functioning even within their own territory!

    Every time they are caught they should be heavily fined and their cach seized or they will keep doing the same.
