Names of cocaine users not given in writing: Speaker

Speaker Karu Jayasuriya informed Parliament today that State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake had not submitted in writing the list of ministers and MPs who were accused of taking drugs.

He made this announcement after several MPs brought up the matter in Parliament on Wednesday over a statement made by the State Minister.

It was earlier reported that Speaker Jayasuriya had requested Mr. Ramanayake to submit the list of names in writing.(Ajith Siriwardana and Yohan Perera)
