The Minuwangoda Police Station, which was temporarily closed yesterday for disinfection process, was re-opened today, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
He said 80 police officers were brought in from other police stations to the Minuwangoda Police Station.
“In addition to the officers from police stations at the Gampaha Division, officers from Kalutara, Nikaweratiya, Pahalagama, Boralanda, Kundasale and Elpitiya Police Training Colleges were also assigned for the duties,” he said.
He said that the 85 police officers at the Minuwangoda Police stations were undergoing quarantine after being subjected to PCR tests.
The operations at the police station was temporally halted yesterday until relief officers were brought in after the owner of the police canteen was tested positive for COVID-19.(Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
