Two Sri Lankan restaurants, Ministry of Crab and Nihonbashi, were ranked 25th and 45th places on the Asia's 50 Best Restaurants list during the awards ceremony held in Macau today.

Srilankas future revenue will only come from the service industry primarily tourism. So it is important that we have strong local brands to promote too. I hope these guys or other restaurants go up to michelin star or other higher ratings and they get fullest support from the government.

Ministry of Crab is a place where I can have a reasonably a decent seafood meal. Though the food was above average the price was too high I was feeling the pinch in my wallet. Place was mostly filled with foreign nationals and that day we saw no other locals there. When combined with local VAT and NBT which now is at 2% of total bill .... those who do not have stolen funds cannot eat there .... and those who have stolen funds cannot select from the menu. I think even a tourist will say the food is great but NOT for the total price .... it's NOT the owners or the restaurant but the government is now trying to eat out of your plate.

So popular and earning good money..beware of the government.. they might appoint a minister to the Ministry of Crabs..This is that kind of government.

You fool. All animals are there to be eaten including Beef. Beef stake is the the best. Your brain does not Function because you dont eat meat so go and eat beef.

Congratulations. There are are other better ones in the country but probably not applied to the selectors or did not give a free meal to them.

This restaurant caters only to the very rich rich folk, no middle class person can afford their to have a meal there.

Then it’s time for middle class people to aspire and become rich so that they too can eat from these awesome restaurants. Good things don’t come cheap!
