Former Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera in a twitter post replying to Secretary to the President P.B. Jayasundara’s reply said it had avoided the important constitutional questions raised in his letter.
“Secy PB responds to my letter to HE in “kohedda yanne - Malle pol” style avoiding the important constitutional questions raised,” he tweeted.
He also said “Again, I say article 150(3) does not give a blank cheque to the President. He can only allocate money for 3 months from the “date on which the new Parliament is summoned to meet.”What is the date for the new Parliament to be summoned?, he said in another tweet.
