A 51-year old man from Akmeemana who was convicted of possessing and trafficking of 382 grams of heroin was today sentenced to death by the Galle High Court Judge W.P.S Nissanka.
An indictment was filed in the Galle High Court on May 15, 2001 against the accused for the possession and trafficking of 382g and 3mg of heroin.
He was arrested in 2001, according to the information received by the Police Narcotics Bureau.(D.G.Sugathapala)
