The STF arrested a 26-year-old man, who had attempted to handover Rs.150,000 in cash to Samantha Kumara alias Wele Suda and Mohamed Niyaz currently under life imprisonment at the Boosa Prison.
The suspect said to be a resident of Balapitiya was found frequenting the prison.
The suspect, who was found frequenting the prison was arrested by the STF on guard duty and on searching him found Rs.150,000 in his possession. When questioned he is reported to have said he had brought the money to be handed over two the two prisoners.He was handed over to the Ratgama Police to be produced before the Galle Magistrate.(D.G. police dont waste ur and cpury time and money. if remanded he will be pardoned soon. so let him go safetly with police protection now itself.
