Mahanama College principal removed

Prasanna Upashantha, the principal of Mahanama College, Colombo, has been transferred with immediate effect to the Western Province Education Department, the Education Ministry said.

A senior deputy principal of the school has been appointed as the acting principal.

An inquiry team has been appointed to investigate Mr. Upashantha for allegedly discrediting the state service. (Ranjan Kasturi)
