No details of the arrest of notorious underworld drug kingpin Makandure Madush and several other Sri Lankans had been reported to the Foreign Ministry yet, a senior Ministry official said.
He said no details had been received even relating to a person with a diplomatic passport.
However, the media reported that drug kingpin Makandure Madush and several other Sri Lankans were among a group of 25 suspects arrested in Dubai during a joint raid carried out by the law enforcement authorities.
He said the Ministry had inquired about the information from the Dubai Consular Generals’ office and the Abu Dhabi Embassy regarding such persons and about a diplomatic passport holder.
They have also confirmed that they had not been informed about such an incident officially.(Indika Sri Aravinda)

It's good if they receive punishment in Abu Dhabi it self than repatriating them to Colombo, cause some powerful minister will get them free.

Don't they execute drug dealers by beheading in mid-eastern countries?

There is a disadvantage in the prosecution been done in Dubai. If the case is heard in SL there is the chance of the culprit revealing the names of the local politicians who are his partners in the business and who helped in escaping from SL ?

I am very disappointed with certain people who got arrested.

This can not be hidden as the foreign press has direct access to the progress of this arrest. Do not bring him back and his chopped off neck or any body parts. The Wijerama used body parts dealer may do it.

Yahapalanayas are unable to get anything done either in Sri Lanka or abroad or take firm decisions, lack of development, punishing culprits, crime and drug menace etc, other than selling the national assets corruption, and taking the country to a right royal mess. Utter inefficient administration.
