UNP Badulla District MP Chaminda Wijesiri, who surrendered to the Bandarawela Magistrate’s Court over the alleged assault of a police constable attached to the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB), was released on bail today.
Police said the MP and his security officer surrendered to the court through a lawyer this morning.
Magistrate Keerthi Kumburahena ordered to release them on two sureties of Rs. 500,000 each. The two suspects were also ordered to pay Rs.10,000 each as a fine.
The Magistrate informed the suspects to report to the Bandarawela Police every Sunday. (Prasad Rukmal)

Everything planned. He knew that he wil get released by the court. He was called a press conferences right after got released from court.is it possible to held a press conferences on such a short period of time.
