Looking forward to working with President-elect Gotabaya: US

The US today said it was looking forward to working with President-elect Gotabaya Rajapaksa for a strong and sovereign Sri Lanka.

In a tweet, US Ambassador Alaina Teplitz said they were looking forward to working with the President-elect on issues of good governance, economic growth, the advancement of human rights and reconciliation in support of a strong, sovereign Sri Lanka.

She also congratulated the people of Sri Lanka on the democratic election.
