Lalkantha released on bail

JVP Politbureau member K.D. Lalkantha, who was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of liquor, was released on bail by the Anuradhapura Magistrate today.

He was arrested after his vehicle met with an accident injuring two women in Anuradhapura on March 1. (Athula Bandara)

Why two difference Laws in Sri Lanka??? In my living Western Country only one law applies to both Politicians and common man. Can somebody explain me Why this is in Sri Lanka please?
