State Minister of International Trade and Development Strategies Sujeewa Senasinghe today suggested that all journalists who reported on the proceedings of the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) should be summoned to Parliament to determine as to how information was leaked.
“There is no provision to report on the proceedings of COPE as it is not open to the media," he said. (Yohan Perera and Kelum Bandara)

Whoever Sujeewa is what he says is correct. When you really wisely think about it values of media reporting in present days doesn't serve any good for any society or the nation. They report things for their commercial benefits and personal gains only ....

Don't send this type of people to parliament ever!! The president should take away the ministerial portfolio given to him. What can we expect of persons who sold the MP vehicle permit for cash . Shame on you.

This is a very poor suggestion. Throughout the past news was leaking from the Cabinet, Committees etc and some were called Reporters. Why worry if there is any truth that would help the public to prepare. No smoke without a fire as they say.

By this suggestion the young politician is digging his own grave by trying to defend the rogues. Shame that we voted.
