Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake today handed over a draft proposal for the 20th Amendment to the Constitution on abolishing the Executive Presidency.
The proposal was handed over to Speaker Karu Jayasuriya at 11.15 am today.

The JVPs agenda in it's entire history was to destabilize the country, blame it on capitalism and then sell their socialism. Other parties should remember their history.

This is false. JVP is not trying to abolish presidency. But rather give the power of choosing the presidency to the parliament. Sounds so undemocratic.
