India had volunteered to send a ship which will be bringing relief materials to be used by the victims of the floods that effected the country, a spokesman said.
This is in response to a request to it by the government of Sri Lanka today.
The spokesman said another ship with relief items would reach Sri Lanka tomorrow.
He said India would coordinate with the Sri Lankan authorities to gauge further requirements as they occur. (Kelum Bandara)
