Former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando, who was in remand custody over the Easter Sunday attacks, was granted bail by the Colombo High Court today.
He was released on a cash bail of Rs.250, 000 and two sureties of Rs.2.5 million each.
Mr Fernando and Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara, who is on compulsory leave, were remanded for failing to prevent the terror attacks on Easter Sunday.

The only one who is responsible for failing to prevent the terror attacks on Easter Sunday is the former president and he also has the cheek and wants to be elected to the next parliament.
