A 19-year-old girl and her 8-year-old brother were found hacked to death at Waikkal in Wennappuwa this morning, Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekera said.
He said the preliminary investigations had revealed that they were killed over a longstanding dispute between two neighbours with regard to waste water seeping into one block of land from the other.
A 28-year-old suspect, who had allegedly hacked the girl and the boy with a sword, had surrendered to the Wennappuwa Police.
