Santa Clause has come to town..... ! I believe the CPC must be enjoying profits now! Or will these cheap political tactics result in the treasury (the people) having to foot the bill?

Most probably UNPers and JVPers won't enjoy this price reduction and they would protest to bring back mangala's formula again.

I am surprised and amused at this comment. How do you calculate the selling price. It is using a equation. If not done we will rolling in debt. We will soon be.

I don't know this obsession with petrol prices. Yahapalane completely destroyed our foreign reserves because of a stupid election promise. Mahinda is trying to do the same even without an election promise.

Another carrot. They will be cheap till MR/MS fool the stupid people. Even with these decreases, I went in a 3WHlr and it started at 60 and went up by 45 per K. so finally CPC losses paid by taxpayer. MR will take a China loan and we repay in five years.

Nothing to be surprised. Oil prices have slumped to USD 50 from 85 per barrel. It can be brought down further. Three wheelers should revert back to the old fare now.
