Four people died in a collision between a van and a parked lorry in Mankulam yesterday night, the Police said.
The injured had been rushed to the Killinochchi Hospital but were pronounced dead in admittance.
The driver of the lorry was arrested by the Police in connection with incident and they are conducting further investigations.

Yes our police loves to 'arrest' one or the other in every event! Here the driver of the 'parked' lorry. Just because the other diver of the van who drove into a parked lorry is dead.The lorry may have had a breakdown. The driver of moving vehicle must be aware of all obstacles.

true, but also if the lorry driver had parked the vehicle on the road, or maybe at a bend, it is putting other road users life in danger, due to sheer negligence.
