Ven. Ududumbara Kashyapa Thera today launched a fast in protest against the controversial Millennium Challenge Corporation’s (MCC) agreement with the US, police said.
Launching the fast, the Thera urged the government not to sign the MCC Agreement with the United States.
The protest fast is taking place at the Independence Square, Colombo, the police said.

Why not ask the Rev monk what exactly he is contesting about the MCC pact. Let him point out a specific clause, that is if he has read it.
