Fags, mobile phones hidden among firewood found in Angunukolapalassa Prison

About 570 sticks of cigarettes, seven mobile phones, three charges and three data cables were hidden among firewood logs found at the Angunukolapalassa Prison today, Prisons Spokesman Chandana Ekanayake said.
He said these were found inside a lorry of a man, who supplies firewood to the Prison.
“The search was carried out by Prison officers, based on an alert by the Prison intelligence wing,” he said.
The driver and two others were arrested in connection with the incident. (Sheain Fernandopulle)
