Facebook party raided in Akmeemana: 28 arrested

Twenty-eight  youths, including two females, were arrested during a raid on a party organised through Facebook at a hotel in Akmeemana last night.

Police said they recovered Kerala cannabis from the arrested suspects.

They were identified as residents of Matale, Anuradhapura, Moratuwa, Ampara and Colombo.

Police said the suspects would be produced in the Galle Magistrate's Court.

    So, that means we cannot organise a party via any social media application in the country? Tell us how are the possible ways of organising parties? This means that we must work hard and earn and pay the politicians for their extravagant lifestyles and not spend on ourselves to party.

    I have a question. are parties are illegal in lanka? whether organised through Facebook or other means? on what law they raid parties? do the police conduct raids on parties organised by politicians as well? where alcohol and cannabis are freely consumed with political sponsorship? just wanted to know the law!
