Dredger ‘Sayuru’ runs aground in Hikkaduwa

The dredger ‘Sayuru’ belonging to the Fisheries Ministry is reported to have run aground near Hikkaduwa Fisheries Harbour due to strong winds while it was deployed to remove sand at the harbour.

The navy and officials of the Ports Authority are trying to tow the boat.
