The United National Party (UNP) has urged the Government not to politicize the relief distribution process during the curfew period.
UNP General Secretary Akila Viraj
Kariyawasam said both relief funds and goods distribution must be depoliticized.
He said an independent mechanism should be in place for the distribution of relief.
"We are sad to note the politicization of relief distribution to the people. Therefore we request the government not to play around with people's hunger" he added. (Yohan Perera)
