Any committee appointed in Sri Lanka is useless. They meet eat, drink, and make some statements. No positive outcomes. In the USA, if a doctor make even a minor mistake the doctor's licence will be immediately revoked and after the decisions they cannot practice anymore. However, Sri Lankan system is not found anywhere and they can strike and kill patients if they want. May be 10% of Sri Lankan doctors are really following the oaths given and rest are just behind money.

Strikes, deaths all of which have been avoided. Time has come to bring the ECTA agreement and get down doctors who are not politicians. Time to act now.

Obviously there must have been an infection either in the Operating Theater or the recovery ward.

Agree with SAVE. Its a shame how most of the doctors hold the helpless poor people ransom to get their demands. But when they make a mistake causing death to the patients, nobody is held responsible.
