Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana today said he will appoint a committee comprising seven members of Parliament to look into the incidents which took place in Parliament yesterday.
Speaker made this announcement following a request made by the government and opposition MPs to conduct an investigation into the incident.
“I will appoint a seven member committee to look into the incidents and then take further action based on their recommendations,” the Speaker said. (Yohan Perera and Ajith Siriwardana)
