The hearing by the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) into the controversial Central Bank bond issue was briefly suspended to seek the Attorney General’s advice over the presence of lawyers representing perpetual treasuries during the hearing.

The public hearing on the bond issue commenced yesterday at the commission office in the Courts Complex at Court Avenue and is continuing for the second day today.

The PCoI is comprised with Supreme Court Judges K. T. Chithrasiri and P.S. Jayawardena, and retired deputy auditor general K. Velupillai.

The PCoI in itself is another delay tactic by the so called "government of good governance" to shamelessly hide their nude exposure of this multi billion rupee scam. now as per this article by DM, the PCoI proceeding are also being delayed due to "tactical reasons".No wonder that the public will never see light at the end of this long "looooooong" tunnel of administrative debunking and the ridiculation of the general public. With many an international accolades being vested on this government and it's leading members, I suggest that some international body create an award for the "Best hoodwinking body of the decade", and the present SL government should win it hands down.BTW, I also voted twice to brig the present team of governance in to play, but I am ashamed of myself given their shameful track record thus far.
