Ambassador of China to Sri Lanka Cheng Xueyuan briefed Speaker Karu Jayasuriya on the prevailing situation regarding the coronavirus epidemic in China and the steps taken by the Chinese Government and authorities to curb spread of the virus.
The discussion was held at the Speaker’s Official residence yesterday (05) afternoon.

The outbreak is totally out of control and the Chinese citizens are very angry. The Chinese president has been not in public view or in the national media for weeks. Had it been a democratic country he would have been forced to go. American assistance is on the way.
