The student, his father and the father of the tuition teacher who were involved in leaking the GCE A/L Chemistry paper had been granted bail by Gampaha Magistrate D.A.Ruwan Pathirana today.
They were released on a cash bail of Rs. 10, 000 each and surety of Rs. 100,000 each.
Meanwhile, the tuition teacher and his brother were re-remanded until September 16. (Tony Karunanayake)

Because he is the son of Doctor. Even the Doctor is released is on bail.This is law in Sri Lanka.

The Doctor father, his son and the tuition master were the key players and should have been in remand. If the offence is bailable then all should have been given bail. I begin to think that for reasons not known to us Police may have opposed bail only in respect of the tuition master and his brother
