The Cabinet today granted the approval to abolish the 19th Amendment to the Constitution and to draft the 20th Amendment to the Constitution, Cabinet Spokesman Minister Keheliya Rambukwella told Daily Mirror.
The new government repeatedly criticised the 19A and said that it would bring in changes to the Constitution to rectify what they called ‘deficiencies’ in the 19A. (Lahiru Pothmulla)

Better to have re-introduced Soulbury Constitution instead for a disciplined country with amendments. If 19A abolished country will be strayed. Govt needs to maintain family monopoly forever.

Why bother? We are the President; We are the PRIME MINISTER; and we are the two third majority in the parliament. No need for haste. Keep cool and calm , and play statesmanship.
