The today’s Cabinet meeting was held through video technology for the first time in the history of Sri Lanka, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.
It said President Gotabaya Rajapaksa joined the meeting from the Presidential Secretariat while the Ministers joined from their offices.

What’s the point? We have wasted 70 plus years since independence. We are still a poor country with GDP per capita at around 3000 usd, while other Asian countries are surging ahead! We were recently downgraded by Fitch ratings too.. this is what the country has come to.. what a gutter situation to be in. We have our politicians to blame for all this, and the villagers who keep voting them in! We the people are paying the price.

Why can't they do the same for Parliament meetings, it says per day parliament meeting costs around 2 Million Rupees!!

Using this technology for the entire Parliament will be opposed by the MPs.They will lose their Allowances and the Dansala meals in the Canteen. They are not worried that it is Tax Payers ' money.
