An e-channeling system would be introduced enabling the public to book time and date to get Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine against COVID-19 in the Colombo Municipality area in the future, Mayoress of Colombo Rosy Senanayake said.
She said steps are being taken in full swing to implement this operation.
She made these remarks at an event held at the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) premises to introduce the Automated Appointment Booking System to avail services at the CMC.
The Mayoress said the CMC has introduced the contact telephone number 0112 208 208 to make an appointment before meeting the relevant officers in order to avail the services provided by the CMC to its people living within its limits more efficiently and effectively.
The public can now make a prior appointment by calling the above number on weekdays from 8.00 am to 4:30 pm.(Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)

there are over 2,000 people in wellewatte MOH everyday to get the vaccine. the woman who issues the token acts like she is the mayoress. people have to rustify for more than 6 hours to get the vaccine. the facilities are inhumane, they have to wait in a carpark, without ventilation, not a single fan. and the woman who issues tokens will only give token to her favourites. the MOH of wellewatte is a disaster. still if you go to a wellewatte neighbourhood it is difficult to find a vaccinated person. it is a total mafia in wellewatte.

THESE FACILITIES ARE ONLY AVAILABLE IN COLOMBO TO THOSE WHO HAVE THE FACILITIES. NO VACCINES YET IN KANDY AND OTHER DISTRICTS.
