Eight bullet-proof cars used by VIPs including former presidents are to be displayed at the Gangarama Temple in Hunupitiya, the Presidential Secretariat said today.
Eight such vehicles used by former presidents, were recently dumped in mid sea.
Sources said the supplier companies were reported to have agreed to accept them, provided freight and recycling costs were by the government.
Meanwhile, the Presidential Secretariat said 95 vehicles used by the presidential staff were leased to 16 government institutions, including the Civil Security Department and the Immigration and Emigration Department. (Sujith Hewajulige)

Oh Ho !! We also wish to see the super luxury vehicles used by present and former "honourable' ministers with their names on them. On the other hand, I cannot imagine any ground or any site large enough to display ALL at the same time. Please hang a board mentioned with the cost of each vehicle, for us the gullible tax payers to know !!

Are we so rich to dump bullet proof luxury cars in the sea? Cars with per Sri number plates are still running in the country. They never tell us what's done with the confiscated drugs.

This is generally the accepted practice anywhere in the world coz the authorities don't want these specially made vehicles to be used by undesirables (Underworld)

the success of any government is based on their accountability for their work and the promises they made. Professionalism is all about that..
