Blood drenched body found with hands bound

The blood drenched body of an individual, with both hands tied and face covered was found in Athnawala, Warakapola area today morning, police said.

The body with multiple injuries was discovered following Information received to the police emergency service and was believed to have been assaulted and killed.

The victim has been identified as 31-year old Chinthaka Kelum Alugolla, a resident of Senarathgama in the Katugastota area.

Police suspect that he was murdered elsewhere and the body might have been dumped later at the location.
