Beauty queen turned Bhikkhunī organises Int’l Bhikkhunī Conference

Ven. Dr. Elizabeth Wo, a Vietnamese-American Bhikkhunī who was crowned Princess Asian-US 2006, organised an International Conference of Bhikkhunīs at the Mount Lavinia Hotel recently.
Apart from Bhikkhunīs from Sri Lanka, Bhikkhunīs from other countries such as Nepal, Laos and Vietnam attended the conference where Ven. Wo offered alms to all Bhikkhunīs.
Ven. Dr. Wo is an American-Vietnamese Bhikkhunī who received a doctorate in Buddhist philosophy in Sri Lanka. Prior to her ordainment, she was a talented entrepreneur apart from a crowned beauty queen.
