A 24 year old massage therapist was arrested by the Habaraduwa Police for allegedly sexually abusing an Austrian woman at a massage center in Unawatuna.
The 24-year-old Austrian woman had arrived in Unawatuna on Tuesday (25) on a holiday with her boyfriend.
The victim said she was in town with another foreign family and had visited the massage centre nearby.
The therapist had given her a head and shoulder massage as requested by her but had later tried to sexually abuse her, the victim said in her complaint to the police. (Sugathapala Deeyagahage)

First place a female should not have gone to get a massage from a male. there is no case here.

The government should have them certified with proper training and see they maintain it by having local authorities inspecting these places regularly. Its embarrassing to hear such incidents when were promoting the country as a tourist destination. via DM Android App

These massage parlors and therapist has no clue about medicinal benefit or how the therapy works except some Ayurveda specialist centers.All operate for sexual favors under the guise of MP. There is no check on this business in SL.

I agree with you. In first place the women should not go for a massage by a male. Some women get massages from males in parlors not for health.
