Leaders should set an example. Where is 2 meter rule. Hugging each other. Not a practical thing to do when Covid 19 is still not under control

DID THE MINISTER CONSUME ANYTHING IN MAHINDA'S HOME? THONDAMANS DEATH WILL BE A REASON FOR DRAGGING THE RS. 1000 ISSUE AND OBTAINING VOTES PUTTING FORWARD HIS SON OR NEPHEW IN THE UPCOMING ELECTIONS.
Kadupol Weerawansa Wednesday, 27 May 2020 10:01 AM
Deepest sympathies. May his soul rest in peace. Sad, due to his sudden death SLPP will lose lot of Tamila votes.
Imaduwa Vithanage Edirisinghe Wednesday, 27 May 2020 10:07 AM
While I mourn the death of a fellow human being, I would like to have a rational assessment of a major politician of the country. Mr Thondaman closely collaborated with the repressive bourgeois political establihment in Colombo irrespective of the governmental change over decades of his political life. If he stood by the estate working class whom he represented by now the daily wage of the worker in that sector would have been minimum Rs. two thousnd (Rs.2000/) in view of the rapidly hiking cost of living. Of course we need to establish the socialist republic of SriLanka and Eelam to win that very resonable demand on behalf of the estate working class!
Shehan Wednesday, 27 May 2020 10:07 AM
RIP. My condolences to his family.

MR's expectations are blasted by his death, feel sorry for losing his life at this age due to over-drinking and committing bad deeds.
Prof. M. Duraisamy Wednesday, 27 May 2020 12:00 PM
His grand father was indeed a Legend, but this man nothing to say much as his character was too bad, he mis-used the poor man's subscription money in millions for his luxury life - drinking
