All schools in the Kalmunai Education Zone would be closed for a period of 7-day, Eastern Province Governor Anuradha Yahampath said.
She said that the decision was taken after identify of Covid patients during random PCR tests conducted in the area.
During the random PCR tests, 20 Covid patients have been found in Akkaraipattu and Saindamarudu areas.

They are all from the Minuwangoda and Peliyagoda'identified cluster' ! Our 'Sar' and his team is having it 'under'control. Please open schools as there is NO community spread. Otherwise our children will also 'FAIL'.
